Along Came A Spider

Specialized Pest Control

The Specialized Pest Control service is an addendum only service and includes any potential pest not covered under any of our General or Structural pest programs. A 10-day follow-up visit is often or most likely necessary due to the nature of the particular specialized pest species. Following inspection, Along Came A Spider will be able to tell you whether or not the particular pest species pestering you requires a 10-day follow-up service. Typically, this is a one-time, per incidence charge to eradicate the immediate threat of the particular pest. This service addendum should not to be confused with any of our management programs.

Fleas

Specialized Pests...

Lice, Fleas & Ticks

Lice, Fleas (photo above) and Ticks are some of the most common specialized pests you may encounter. Each one of these invertebrate, hematophagous pests are flightless, parasitic arthropods considered to be of both medical and veterinary importance and thus health and economic stressors. Each of these pests feed via a process called hematophagy, taking a blood meal, and frequently on the blood of birds, rodents and other vertebrate hosts but primarily on our domesticated pets and humans. You may recognize them or you may have concerns if you or your pets have had an unfortunate encounter with these pests in the past. Call us immediately if you think you may have any of these Specialized Pests in or around the house. Lice, Fleas and Ticks are the harborers of disease and must be dealt with professionally in a timely manner.

Cockroaches

Specialized Pests...

Cockroaches

There are several species of cockroaches in southern Arizona, many of which are considered a serious health threat and economic concern. Cockroaches are more than a nuisance pest, they deposit bacteria with every step, breed rapidly and cause an entire host of health issues that must be addressed immediately. Cockroaches happen to be a serious disdain in the pest control industry, they're difficult to control and, by nature, tenacious in life. The best course of action is to begin an integrated pest management program immediately upon sighting. Call us as soon as you see one, when there's one there are many, many more. Take advantage of our Free, No-Obligation Inspection.

Carpet Beetles

Specialized Pests...

Carpet Beetles

Carpet Beetles are nuisance pests that may be prevalent in any domestic dwelling at any time. They consume keratin, a fibrous animal protein, associated with all natural materials readily found in our homes and offices including leather, wool, silk, fur, feathers and any dead organic material (skin tissue). Often found in clothes closets infesting natural materials they may also be found in furniture, drapery, rugs and carpeting, as the name suggests, and just about any other natural material relative to our lives. Carpet Beetles may also be associated with birds nests, wasp nests, bee hives, rodent nests and any organic material left behind for the Carpet Beetles to ingest. As a pest control technician, I most often find them infesting the interior of walls and attics due to the organic material left behind by the aforementioned pests which is why my job description includes the removal of such nests and any exclusion preventatives that may be necessary.
